Domestic Violence and the Impact on Young Children

  Event Type
  Event Description
This training, presented by Dr. Gloria Castro, will address the impact of domestic violence on the development of young children. Witnessing violence and being a victim of violence during the first five years of life can shatter a child's conviction that her or his well-being matters and that adults in their lives will take care of them. Providers who work with young children need to identify the impact of violence on various developmental domains and the way it impacts the relationship with caregivers. The training will be delivered within a cultural and developmental context. Clinical interventions to enhance a healthy recovery will be provided. **3 CEUs available for RNs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LEPs** Pay for CEUs at HTTPS://DOMESTICVIOLENCEENGLISH.EVENTBRITE.COM
