  This training will focus on the importance of early identification for children 0-5 years and the three essential components of an effective developmental screening system. We will discuss ways to engage families about screening, how to talk with parents about results or concerns, practice making referrals, and share how Help Me Grow can support shelter staff and their families. Who Should Attend: Shelter Staff who work with young children and families from Alameda County's transitional housing programs and foster care system; children's program managers, family advocates, and case managers; providers who work with families in transition; and Public Health home visitors and mental health specialists.**2 CEUs available for RNs, LMFTs, LCSWs**
