  Event Type

  Training

  Event Description

Description: In this training, we will explore the potentially traumatic impact of current immigration policies on young children and their families with a focus on Latino immigrants. We will use a trauma-informed perspective to look at how young children and their parents/caretakers experience immigration-related fears and concerns. Using an interactive approach, we will discuss the challenges providers may experience in working with families facing such overwhelming circumstances as well as the complications that can arise with mixed immigration status families. Participants will receive a packet with resources including Know Your Rights and a Family Preparedness Plan.**3 CEUs available for RNs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LEPs, LPCCs.
